Youth Leadership Program

2024 Program Projects

Program Projects

A core pillar of ASPIRE's programming, the Youth Leadership Program (YLP) aims to support the development of emerging Asian American women leaders. Designed for our Asian American sisters currently in high school, YLP encourages growth as rising leaders in their social, academic, and future professional communities. The program focuses on building identity, encouraging self-confidence, and developing leadership skills.

In the most recent YLP cohort, participants were able to collaborate on final projects that speak to causes and issues in their own communities. Through many different mediums, groups were able to develop their leadership skills and creatively drive impact on causes that they're passionate about. Check out their projects linked below!

  • Interviews with AAPI women providing insight from their experiences in their career paths and seeking to change perceptions of the AAPI journey.

  • Discussions with AAPI women leaders in the mental health space on what mental health in the AAPI space looks and how AAPI can engage in such conversations across generations

  • A social media campaign fighting the lack of accurate AAPI literature in the educational curriculum. Follow their Instagram for a chance to win AAPI books for your school!

  • A non-profit utilizing social media to provide education on contributing to environmental well-being to foster love for the local environment.
