Asian American Women in Leadership Conference

The AAWIL Conference is the only leadership conference in the nation dedicated to Asian American female students and professionals. Since 2004, the Conference has been engaging more than 150 Asian American women annually in workshops and discussions that explore various aspects of leadership. Attendees include high school, college and graduate students and professionals from Boston and northeastern U.S. regions.

Asian American Women Scholarship Fund

With financial support from the Gund Kwok Asian Women Lion & Dragon Dance Troupe, ASPIRE launched the Asian American Women's Scholarship Fund in 2011. The goal of the scholarship is to support outstanding and community-oriented Asian American young women in the pursuit of higher education. This scholarship will be awarded to two Asian American young women entering their first year in a two or four year accredited post-secondary institution in the amount of $1,000 each respectively. The awardee should demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to make a meaningful impact in the Asian American community.

Speaker Series

The Speaker Series, a free lecture series, explores topics impacting Asian American girls and women, and gives exposure to Asian American women leaders. It promotes candid conversations, encourages networking, and fosters mentoring relationships among Asian American women. Since September 2010, ASPIRE has held 13 Speaker Series panels on such topics as women in politics, entrepreneurship, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields, mental health, and work/life balance, and attracted 40 to 60 attendees on average. The Speaker Series is catered toward Asian American women who are high school students, college students, graduate students, and working professionals.


ASPIRE@Work is a professional development workshop program. Guided by industry experts in an interactive setting with 15 to 20 participants, ASPIRE@Work provides an opportunity to develop essential skills and tools to achieve professional success. Since this program was introduced in 2012, ASPIRE has held six workshops. ASPIRE@Work is catered toward Asian American women who are working professionals. 

Outstanding Woman of the Year Award

ASPIRE's Outstanding Woman of the Year award celebrates a female high school or college student of Asian American decent who is a proven leader with the initiative and determination to make a change in her community. This award was first awarded in 2008.
