ASPIRE is a non-profit career and leadership development non-profit
organization based in the Boston area. Our mission is to empower
Asian American high school and college girls with career development
and leadership skills through shared experiences and mentoring.
ASPIRE's Youth Leadership Program (YLP) is seeking a motivated
and enthusiastic college intern for the Spring 2007 semester.
YLP is a competitive leadership development program for underserved
Asian American high school girls, and the college intern will
be responsible for assisting with community and high school
outreach, YLP publicity, and event planning and logistics.
There may also be opportunities for input on the program's
curriculum and future events. Candidates should be interested
in issues affecting young Asian American women, and should
have good organizational and interpersonal skills. Time commitment
for the position would be approximately 15-20 hours a month.

ASPIRE is a non-profit career and leadership development non-profit
organization based in the Boston area. Our mission is to empower
Asian American high school and college girls with career development
and leadership skills through shared experiences and mentoring.
The ASPIRE board is the continuous foundation of the organization
and develops and provides strategic guidance on ASPIRE’s
mission, structure, development and programming. The board
currently consists of 7 members ranging from academia to the
professional world. We are currently seeking the addition
of a college student to serve as Secretary on our board. Requirements
include:
- Ability to attend bi-monthly board meetings
- Mature, intelligent and articulate college student –
we expect you to provide your point-of-view on issues that
arise (e.g., programming, fundraising, etc.), particularly
from a college student’s perspective; you will be
expected to vote on key issues as a board member
- Detail-oriented – you will be responsible for recording
minutes, distributing to board members via e-mail and scheduling
all board meetings
- Passion for ASPIRE’s mission
- 10-15 hours/month

ASPIRE is a non-profit career and leadership development non-profit

Asian American high school and college girls with career development
and leadership skills through shared experiences and mentoring.
ASPIRE is seeking a CFO that will be accountable for all
aspects of ASPIRE’s finances. This includes the following:
- Bookkeeping – you will be responsible for monitoring
ASPIRE’s balance and paying out/depositing checks
as needed
- Strategic guidance – the board will look to your
input and guidance on the best ways to manage ASPIRE’s
finances
- IRS filings – we will expect you develop financial
statements (balance sheet, income statement and statement
of cash flows) to our accountant and lawyers for annual
filings
- Periodically attending board meetings – the board
expects quarterly updates from you on ASPIRE finances

ASPIRE is a non-profit career and leadership development non-profit
organization based in the Boston area. Our mission is to empower
Asian American high school and college girls with career development
and leadership skills through shared experiences and mentoring.
We are in the process of building the ASPIRE Advisory Council
to serve as ASPIRE’s link to its community, academic
and corporate partners. By serving as an ASPIRE Advisory Council,
you will be responsible for the following:
- Serve as Liaison – we ask that you serve as a liaison
between ASPIRE and the organization that you represent to
keep both organizations aware of major events and happenings
- Publicity – we encourage you to help spread the
word about ASPIRE events and programs to Asian American
female youth and adults in your network
- Support – we ask you to support (and help find
support for) ASPIRE in various forms and fashion, whether
it be as we seek mentors for youth, sponsorships for our
events, manpower as volunteers, etc.
- Presence – we would like to include your picture
and brief biography on our website
- Time commitment – 1-3 hours/month
