Atsuko
Toko Fish recently retired as a US-Japan cross-cultural
communication consultant, providing local and national clients
with cultural sensitivity practices essential in developing
successful collaborations with Japan. Currently, she serves
as a Chairman of the Board of Asian Task Force Against Domestic
Violence. In addition, she is focused on addressing global
public health needs through her work with Management Sciences
for Health in Boston and is a founder and a board member of
HANDS – a Health and Development service in Japan which
that seeks to strengthen the public health and advocacy initiative
between the Japanese government and developing countries.
She serves as an Overseer for the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston
and board member of The Boston Foundation, Simmons College,
and the Winsor School. Prior to forming her consulting practice,
Ms. Fish served as consultant to former Governor Michael Dukakis
in designing long-term tourism and trade strategies, served
ten years on former Governor William Weld’s Asian American
commission, and received the Governor’s New American
Appreciation Award in 1997. Ms Fish also received the Humanitarian
Award of the National Conference for Community and Justice
in 2003. Fish and her husband Larry have three children.
Deanna
C Fitzpatrick serves as the Export Licensing and
Compliance Advisor at Integrated Defense Systems for Raytheon,
where she advises employees who support international programs
on export and import issues as well as licensing plans and
strategies. Previous to Raytheon, Fitzpatrick served as Litigation
Paralegal at Skadden Arps Meagher and Flom in Boston, MA,
and specialized in insurance defense cases. Prior to that,
she served as a Junior Lobbyist at Stuntz and Davis where
she lobbied for deregulation of electricity and stranded cost
issues on the Hill. She also interned at the National Women’s
Political Caucus. She has a BA in political science from UC
Irvine and an MA in American Government and Lobbying from
American University. In DC, she interned for Nancy Pelosi,
currently the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives,
from 1991-92. Ms. Fitzpatrick participates actively in Raytheon’s
Asian Pacific Association, Kappa Alpha Theta Alumnae Group's
mentor program, GFWC Hudson Junior Woman’s Club, and
is a Court Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian Ad Litem for
New Hampshire. She has also served on the Town of Hudson Zoning
Board of Adjustment.
Sanya
Rizvi is a vice president at Charles Schwab &
Company in Boston. She has worked in both the Berkeley, CA
and Boston, MA offices advising individual investors, small
businesses and corporations for the last 5 years. Prior to
that, she was a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley in Oakland,
CA for 3 years. Sanya’s passion for finance has extended
into her community service work. She served on the Berkeley
Rotary Endowment and, prior to moving to Boston, was a nominated
member of the Board of Trustees. During this time, she participated
in all financial matters regarding management of investments
and grant gifts to various community and youth scholarship
projects. Sanya is originally from Toronto, Canada and taught
elementary school for two years in top schools in downtown
Toronto. She mentored several educationally and socially disadvantaged
students and is passionate about investing in our youth. Sanya
received a bachelors degree in education from McGill University
in Montreal. She and her husband live in Cambridge, MA.
John
Sims is a graduate of Miami University and Harvard
Business School, class of 1975. Mr. Sims is the Executive
Relations Manager of Bentley
College and formerly served as the Assistant Dean of Bentley
McCallum Graduate School of Business. He is currently Director
of the Harvard Business School Association of Boston, American
Association of University Women and National Society of Hispanic
MBAs.
Rosa
Wu is a Product Manager at Google
Enterprise through the acquisition of Postini,
a message security and compliance service. Previously, she
was an Associate at Weston
Presidio, a private equity firm investing $3.3 billion
across a wide range of industries in companies such as JetBlue,
Fender Guitar, and The Boston Herald. She received her A.B.
in Government from Harvard University in 2003. During college,
Rosa served as Vice President of Harvard Student Agencies,
a $5 million student-run corporation with 750 employees and
10 agencies, including the Let’s Go travel
guides. She served as President of ASPIRE from 2004-2005,
Director of ASPIRE from 2005-2008. She also serves on the
Board of Directors of the Harvard
Alumni Association and the Advisory Board for YNPN
SF Bay Area.
